Maintain High Energy for What Matters Most
3 essential energy management lessons for myself.
Here are the 3 things I learned about managing my energy properly so that I can maintain a healthy level of energy to tackle the most important things in life:
- Rest and work go hand in hand. To keep a high level of concentration, you need good quality rest. Biologically, our brain needs a break of about 15–20 minutes after 90–120 minutes of concentrated work. With this insight, spaced repetition is certainly a good strategy for learning new things.
- Avoid things that are leaking your energy.
- Write down things you want to do, prioritize, or make choices. Once you’ve made the choices, rest your mind and don’t worry about the things you won’t do. Focus on the present.
- Do not do things that go against your values. Energy follows meaning.
- Energy grows and follows your beliefs. Believe in yourself. You become what you believe.
